WRITER
Amole Gupte and his wife, Deepa Bhatia worked as a team to explore the story of a child who is not able to fit in a school stream, inspired from the biography of filmmaker of Japan ( Akira Kurosawa) who did not perform well in his school.
ACTOR
Darsheel Safary (Ishaan Awasthi) and Amir Khan (Ram Shankar Nikumbh) are in the lead role of the movie. Darsheel played a role of a child who has dyslexia and Amir played the role of his art teacher.
DIRECTOR
Amir Khan has directed the movie after Amol Gupte stepped down as director and kept Amir khan connected to the movie because Amir Khan loved the script but could not agree with dailies of Amol Gupte for the first week.
Summary
This movie named as Taare Zameen Par is based on a story of a child (Ishaan) who is having problems with reading and writing and is unable to learn in the regular school system as his teachers are not giving any particular attention towards his behavior rather scold him for his mistakes. His parents are forcing him to work hard on his studies by inspiring him with the success of his elder brother who is doing great in school as well as in his sport and they send Ishaan to a boarding school where he meet his art teacher Nikumbh who provide special help to Ishaan because he saw Ishaan’s hard work and his art as Nikumbh runs a school for exceptional children.
