Gender

In the scene (above), Ishaan’s mother left her job and tutoring her son because this is the primary responsibility of a woman to think about her home and her family first and not about her job especially in my country. My mother has never thought about doing job and has always been busy in household responsibility but she has a dream for me to be an independent woman.

Ability

In the above stated scene, Ishaan has made a boat about the waste which he had collected from his broken toys and other valuable things of the house. His abilities are being ignored by his parents as they were more focused on grades and success.

Class

This above scene is taken when Ishaan’s parents take the advise of his arts teacher in a wrong way and ask him about what is the benefit of being an artist as they belong to middle-class in the society who have to earn to survive and they think painting and art does not get any profit for a person to survive.

Myth of meritocracy

In the above shown scene, Nikumbh is holding the painting of Ishaan for the last competition of the boarding school. His hard work for painting and even on his study with the help of Nikumbh, Ishaan still not able to make a space in the life of his parents which is elder brother had.

Micro-aggression

In this scene, principal from the previous school of Ishaan is saying to his parents that child like Ishaan have special schools and they can not study in the normal schools.
